‘RHOP’ Alum Mia Thornton Sued Over Unpaid Rent

Former “Real Housewives of Potomac” star Mia Thornton was arrested in November 2025 on charges related to stealing furniture. Now, several months later, court documents have emerged showing the RHOP alum has been sued for unpaid rent. Along with the arrest, she was previously sued for eviction after leaving the hit Bravo series.

In response to US Weekly, Thornton has been sued by a luxury apartment rental company in Atlanta for allegedly failing to pay her rent. The court documents were filed on March 18, and the previous “RHOP” star is alleged to owe the owner $2,859 in back rent as of March 2026.

That’s not all; the “Real Housewives of Potomac” alum also owes an extra $3,500 in fees. It’s unclear what the debt is for, nevertheless it’s reasonable to assume a portion of the price is resulting from late fees.

The RHOP Alum Was Previously Sued For Eviction

US Weekly reported in November 2025 that Thornton and McGriff had been sued for eviction by Encore Management in September 2025. Not only did the suit request eviction, however the parties also needed to pay past-due rent totaling $5,100, in addition to $6,085 for the months they remained on the high-rise luxury Atlanta property.

The previous “RHOP” star hinted in various interviews across the time of her departure that she could be open to joining “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Nonetheless, that has not come to pass thus far.
