Roman Reigns As WWE’s Top Babyface?
In the course of the latest episode of the “Keepin’ It 100” podcast, Disco Inferno and Konnan discussed Rhodes. Their conversation went as follows:
Konnan: “Let me just say one thing. I used to be not interested in any respect in Orton vs. Cody, but I’m now. Thought that was an important, great, great turn. That’s what it needed. And now I’m interested.”
Inferno: “I’m interested too, but I still, like I said, the choice must have been Cody turning in my view.”
Konnan: “You don’t need yet. He’s still very over.”
Inferno: “I don’t think he’s. That’s the thing. That’s fake. He’s not very over.”
Konnan: “I still think Cody’s over enough to be the primary guy. Who do you’re thinking that ought to be primary?”
Inferno: “I believe he ought to be the primary heel.”
Konnan: “Okay, who ought to be the primary babyface?”
Inferno: “Roman Reigns.”
Rhodes On Connecting With Fans
While Inferno doesn’t think Rhodes is over with the fans, the Undisputed WWE Champion believes otherwise. During a recent edition of his “What Do You Wanna Talk About?” podcast, Rhodes emphasized the importance of connecting with fans. He said,
“There’s a connection to it. And I feel like that’s something that has been very hard to say. You already know how all the pieces is so polarizing now; you’re either on one side of the fence. It’s crazy if you sit in the center. Like, Je’Von [Evans] at once has got a reinventive style. But attending to know Je’Von makes you much more excited concerning the reinventive style. Attending to know Je’Von gets you more excited concerning the dumb thing he’s going to do. Because now you could have a hope that, ‘I hope he hits it. Oh, man.’”
“You already know, versus indulgence and just doing it for the sake of doing it. I feel very on a high horse over all this, and I’m not attempting to be, but , since the old-time guys are like, ‘Well, it’s not concerning the five stars.’ They make it so contentious right out of the gate. It’s not. It’s all the pieces, if that makes any sense.”
