Jon Jones has been receiving support from nearly all of the combat sports world throughout his feud with the UFC.
Earlier this month, the UFC fanbase was left devastated when the UFC White House event was announced and Jon Jones was left off it.
Not long after, news surfaced that the explanation ‘Bones’ wasn’t included on the historic event was since the UFC stood firm on their $15 million offer, which Jones and his team thought was too low.
Despite that, Dana White continues to refuse that the previous champion was ever in line to compete on the event, which has led to an ongoing feud between the 2.
Jones’ latest promotion backs him during feud with UFC
After asking for his release from the UFC, it was announced just a number of weeks later that Jones has turn into a partner of IBA Bare-Knuckle.
This coming Saturday, Jones can be in attendance for his first event as Yoel Romero takes on Vagab Vagabov within the IBA Bare Knuckle 4 fundamental event.
And ahead of that, the 38-year-old has been backed by his latest promotion which have sent shots on the UFC for his or her treatment of Jones.
“We’ve known Jon Jones for a very long time, he visited our first event, he saw every thing first hand – the atmosphere, the organization, our fighters’ level,” IBA Bare Knuckle CEO, Alibek Gitinov told Red Corner MMA.
“He liked our product. We’ve approached Jon with the respect he deserves and he expressed interest in becoming an element of our organization.
“If the world’s biggest organizations for whatever reason aren’t appreciating their biggest fighters, we’re able to offer them a platform in forming the game’s future. In addition to our respect and loyalty.”
At this point it’s unclear whether Jones and the UFC will repair their clearly strained relationship or if we’ll see the previous champion return to the promotion.
Fellow UFC star Israel Adesanya believes that he and the promotion will work out their differences and Jones will return for a brilliant fight against Alex Pereira in the approaching months.
