Fans call out Dana White’s ‘tone deaf’ joke about rare UFC Seattle error after Joe Pyfer concerns

Dana White was made aware of a heavy topic through the post-fight press conference on Saturday.

Joe Pyfer knocked out Israel Adesanya within the essential event of UFC Seattle to secure a win that can likely skyrocket him up the middleweight ladder.

The American overcame adversity within the fight before turning the tide, but this paled compared to what he’s been battling outside of the cage.

Within the aftermath of an amazing event, White was told about Pyfer’s comments on mental health before he made an ill-timed joke several minutes later.

Fans take issue with Dana White’s joke about Bruce Buffer’s response to his mistake

Dana White said it’s “unlucky to listen to” about Joe Pyfer saying he almost took his own life a few weeks ago when he was told about this on the post-fight press conference.

Later in his comments to the media, the UFC president was asked about Bruce Buffer’s rare error where he announced the fallacious winner, resulting in each fighters being brought back contained in the Octagon to correct the error.

White suggested that the enduring announcer shall be his own worst critic after producing a confusing mix up, but his selection of words didn’t sit well with some fans.

“It’s happened before,” he said. “Buffer probably hung himself somewhere back here tonight. But yeah, Buffer is an absolute pro and really rarely does that guy make mistakes.”

Fans wrote ‘Dana didn’t should say that about Bruce’ and ‘Isn’t one in all Dana’s finest moments’ under various videos of the press conference.

While some were forgiving of this joke despite acknowledging that it was poorly timed, others were more critical, with reactions like ‘Tone deaf Dana within the flesh’ and ‘Do you consider anything you say?!’

Two other comments, ‘Uncle Dana cold hearted’ and ‘Pretty unhinged, but it surely’s Dana’ suggest that some aren’t necessarily surprised by what he needed to say on March 28.
