Nikki Blackheart says she learned about her WWE tryout “within the craziest way” while she was questioning her future in wrestling.
During a recent appearance on the “Heavyweight Commentary” podcast, Blackheart revealed that two years into her profession, she was torn between specializing in her sales job or going all-in on wrestling.
After a protracted day trip to Orlando for a booking that fell through, she went back home and returned to her sales work. The following day, Blackheart finished a sales call feeling unsure about her path. Inside an hour, she received the life-changing call offering her a WWE tryout. She said,
“I’ll say, you realize, I came upon about it within the craziest way. I had been just attempting to work out whether or not this was for me. I’m two years in and there’s loads of people like, ‘I’ve been working for 10 years.’ I’m like, great, that’s good for you. But I wish to know what my life looks like, I’m a little bit little bit of a control freak. So I do need to know- is this- am I doing the precise thing? Am I making the precise decisions? Am I doing the whole lot in my power to give you the chance to realize my goals, and is there something that I’m missing? How can I fix it? So I’m asking myself all these questions and, you realize, it got here all the way down to, do I focus fully on my profession in sales and, you realize, go that route and be absolutely amazing at it? Or do I give attention to this and do the identical thing and, you realize, go the entire way after which be absolutely amazing at it, and, it was considered one of those things where I’m so invested in wrestling, but I actually have to be a little bit little bit of a realist. I’m like, is that this making sense for me and where I would like to be in my future? I kid you not, ended up going to Orlando. I had a possibility to, take part in a distinct company and things occur. I wasn’t capable of wrestle, drove back the identical day. I mean, it was like a, a really, very long day. Um, after which, the following day I get off a call, a sales call. I’m similar to sitting down and I’m similar to, like, dude, what am I doing? Like, I want to, I want, something’s got to offer, like something’s got to occur, and inside an hour later, I got the decision that there, I had a tryout available.”
