Royal Challengers Bengaluru star Virat Kohli shared a heartwarming moment along with his wife Anushka Sharma after the conclusion of their opening Indian Premier League 2026 clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Kohli was seen exchanging flying kisses with Anushka following RCB’s dominant six-wicket win, capping off a memorable night for the team.

Batting first after losing the toss, SRH posted 201/9, with Ishan Kishan leading the charge through an excellent 80-run knock. Despite the strong total, RCB chased it down comfortably, reaching 203/4 in only 15.4 overs to kickstart their campaign emphatically.

Devdutt Padikkal (61) and Rajat Patidar (31) provided aggressive support, while Kohli anchored the innings with a cultured unbeaten 69 off 38 balls. Meanwhile, pacer Jacob Duffy was named Player of the Match for his impressive three-wicket haul in the primary innings.

Delighted after guiding his team to yet one more successful chase, Kohli celebrated the win with a special gesture, sharing an affectionate exchange of flying kisses with Anushka before joining his teammates within the on-field celebrations.

Speaking after the match, Virat Kohli spoke about his preparation ahead of the tournament, stating:

“It was good to get back on the market. You mentioned T20 cricket, yes the last game was last 12 months. But, my ODI form helped me. I actually have worked hard on my fitness behind the scenes, and it’s great that it’s coming off. Well, the quantity of cricket we’ve played during the last 15 years, these type of breaks only help me than keep me undercooked. I all the time come prepared, come out 120 percent!”

Applauding Devdutt Padikkal for his attacking innings, he remarked:

“Outstanding knock! I had plans of going hard in the ability play, but, Devdutt batted magnificently! When he began going, I told him to not stop. His balance, absolutely world-class! I’ve watched him from close quarters, he can only get well!”
