Israel Adesanya sends defiant message about his decision to maintain fighting: ‘Respawn and go again’

Israel Adesanya has lost 4 fights in a row, but he shouldn’t be able to call time on his profession just yet.

The UFC Seattle important event on the Climate Pledge Arena didn’t go as planned for the legendary former two-time middleweight champion.

Adesanya was knocked out by Joe Pyfer in round two this past Saturday night, extending his energetic losing skid contained in the Octagon to 4 straight outings.

Despite being winless for 3 years, ‘The Last Stylebender’ has reiterated his decision to fight on.

Israel Adesanya sympathizes along with his fans but won’t retire after UFC Seattle

As fans watched Adesanya get knocked out for the second consecutive fight, many immediately suggested that it’s time for the 36-year-old to hold up his gloves.

But ‘The Last Stylebender’ didn’t even leave the cage before appearing to announce his decision. Adesanya once more shut down retirement talk, and that stance has not budged.

In a recent statement posted on Instagram, the ex-champ appreciated how difficult it’s for his supporters to look at his struggles but insisted it’s even tougher for him.

With that, he’s vowing to rebuild and go again.

“I realize it’s hard on my people seeing me fall,” Adesanya wrote. “I promise you it’s harder on me.

“Regardless, we respawn and go again. 🎲🎲”

Some are concerned that Adesanya’s UFC profession will end with the form of run that fellow middleweight legend Anderson Silva went on. ‘The Spider’ lost five of his last six fights before being released.

Pyfer was ranked No. 14 within the middleweight division prior to his triumph in Seattle on Saturday night. With that position in mind, the No. 4-ranked Adesanya is predicted to tumble down the pecking order come Tuesday’s update.

That won’t impact the UFC legend, who admitted ahead of his latest defeat that returning to the title picture isn’t any longer what motivates him.

He is just seeking to get back to doing what he long did best by performing.
