Rohitashv Gour On Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! Fun On The Run & The Challenges He Faced Shooting It

Whenever you first heard about turning Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai right into a film, what was your honest response?

Actually, in the future Mr. Shashank Bali and Mr. Sanjay Kohli got here to the set and told us they were planning to make a movie. At first, we thought they were joking or pulling a prank on us. But after they began narrating it seriously, we realized this was actually happening. They told us that Zee Entertainment and Zee Cinema desired to make a movie based on the show, and truthfully, our jaws just dropped. Making a movie out of a television show is a giant thing. And as actors, everyone dreams of moving from the small screen to the massive screen. So if that happens through a show you’re already a component of, I might consider myself very lucky. That was my first response.

The show has built such a loyal following over time. Did that familiarity make doing a movie easier, or did it include added responsibility?

It definitely comes with added responsibility. The audience has been watching the show for years, so that they are very conversant in the characters and situations. That makes it more difficult because for a movie—especially for the massive screen—you will have to present something different. What works on television doesn’t all the time work the identical way in a movie, so all these items needed to be kept in mind. It will not be easy to shift from the small screen to the massive screen when people already know and love the characters a lot.

Your character is already so entertaining. Did you are feeling the necessity to take him up a notch for the massive screen? What makes audiences still love him?

My character, Manmohan Tiwari, has been entertaining audiences for years. Naturally, I might want much more people to enjoy him on the massive screen. But I didn’t feel the necessity to change or exaggerate the character; the audience already connects with him the way in which he’s. I just hope people recognize him on the massive screen and luxuriate in him the identical way they all the time have. That familiarity and consistency are what make the character lovable.
