Mario Ferraro would love to remain long-term in San Jose, but they is probably not fascinated with that
NHL Rumour Report: David Pagnotta on the The Sheet with Jeff Marek on the San Jose Sharks pending UFA defenseman Mario Ferraro: “Mario Ferraro would love to remain, but I don’t think they’ve gotten to that time; I do know once they had discussions it wasn’t of the long run variety; he wants long run; they were going mid to short; I don’t know if that changes now.”

Will the Winnipeg Jets Look to do Something Significant This Offseason?
Could Auston Matthews head out West?
Howard Berger of Between the Posts: source throughout profession sent an unsolicited text last week.
“Your favorite captain will likely be traded, this summer, to considered one of three western teams: Anaheim, Los Angeles or Utah. Mark it down. won’t be back with the Leafs.”
Matthews’ numbers have dipped previously two seasons, and his current season is over attributable to knee surgery. He has a no-movement clause, but when he were to think about a move, he grew up within the Southwestern US, so a move back out that way would make sense. If the Maple Leafs were to trade him, they’d obviously prefer the West Conference.
Will the Maple Leafs seek for a No. 2 center this offseason?
Luke Fox of Sportsnet: There appears to be talk outside the Toronto Maple Leafs organization once more that John Tavares must develop into their No. 3 center or shift over to the wing due to his lack of speed. The 35-year-old is second in goals (26) and just one behind Austin Matthews and second in points (61), trailing only William Nylander (67).
Perhaps they might find someone a little bit younger, or a middle-six center who has more of a two-way game, like pending UFAs Charlie Coyle or Kevin Hayes.
The Kraken are Liking Bobby McMann, and Should the Vancouver Canucks overpay?
The price to amass and the competition so as to add someone like Robert Thomas (Blues) or Vincent Trocheck (Rangers) goes to be high.
