Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal Responds To Long-Awaited Disha Vakani’s Comeback
Following her exit from the show, Disha Vakani has consistently remained within the highlight. With photos and videos of her continuously surfacing online during her absence, the makers have managed to construct anticipation round her return. When asked if fans can expect to see her back on the show, Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal said, “Woh toh marketing strategy hai na. Logon ko kaise engage karke rakhein, kaise hype create karein. Beech mein, jab principal thi tab ki baat kar rahi hoon, ek ladki ka audition lete the. Woh Delhi se aati thi. Usko 2 saal tak dikhate rahe ki karenge, karenge. Usko Daya ke role ke liye block karke rakha tha. Uska humare saath mock shoot bhi hua. 100% Daya thi woh, matlab agar hum uska face na dekhein toh koi nahi keh sakta tha ki woh Daya nahi hai.”
She continued, “Lekin woh kaafi young thi, around 27-28. Aur issue yeh tha ki woh Dilip Joshi ji ke saamne bahut chhoti lagegi, toh woh theek nahi lagta. Isi reason se usko nahi liya. Hum sab ne bola bhi tha ki she is one of the best selection. Woh Malav ke through aayi thi, humare director ke through. Toh bas, shayad jab luck hoga tab hoga. But Disha Vakani wapas nahi aayengi. Daya aani hogi toh aayegi, par unki yeh marketing strategy chalti rahegi.”
Jennifer Reveals Disha Vakani Almost Made A Comeback
While speaking about her return, Jennifer Mistry also shared that there was a time when Disha Vakani almost made a comeback to the show. She said, “Disha beech mein ek baar aane wali thi. Humse baat bhi karke gayi thi, I believe 2021 mein. Tab baat karke gayi thi ki principal aa rahi hoon, phir kya hua maloom nahi. Matlab next day se uska shoot tha. Woh aake dresses-wresses tay karke gayi thi. Phir kya hua, I don’t know. Andar- andar kya baat hui pata nahi, but she didn’t come. Kyuki humne joh suna hai, thode reservations the uski family ki taraf se ki Sunday ko shoot nahi karegi, night shoot nahi karegi, aur zyada ghante bhi shoot nahi karegi. Aisa sab tha. Toh thoda bahut toh kiya ja sakta hai, par har case mein itna kaise karein?”
Jennifer concluded, “Halaanki hum sab ne bola tha, principal aur Sonalika (Joshi) toh bolte the Asit Modi ji ko ki bhai ab Disha Vakani ne itna diya hai TMKOC ko. Aur Daya aisa character hai ki uske ghar jaake shoot karo, phone cuts hi karte raho, par shoot karo. But humein lagta tha ki shayad ego aa raha tha ki kyun hum uske ghar jaake shoot karein. Show toh mera hai, principal uske ghar jaake shoot karun? Toh, that’s what we used to think.”
