John Cena will serve because the host of WrestleMania 42, in his first public appearance for WWE since his retirement match in December of last 12 months.
The announcement of Cena has raised questions amongst fans as as to if this was a long-time plan or something that only recently got here together.
In line with Wrestle Votes Radio, the plan for Cena to host WrestleMania was made in January, but John didn’t learn of it until weeks later.
“Sources indicate that the concept of Cena being involved on this 12 months’s event because the host was not presented to him until early February, marking a big shift from what was initially expected.”
Critics have called the choice a ploy by WWE to garner interest in WrestleMania, as many feel the show has lacked momentum in its construct.
WWE WrestleMania 42 will happen on April 18 and April 19 and can mark the second 12 months in a row that WWE’s biggest event has aired from Las Vegas.
The show shall be WWE’s seventh two-night WrestleMania. As of writing, 12 matches have been announced, including eight title matches.
