MANILA, Philippines—Kai Sotto posted a near double-double effort, helping Koshigaya snap a six-game slide with an 84-77 win over the Osaka Evessa within the B.League on Sunday at Koshigaya City Gymnasium.
Sotto finished with 12 points and eight rebounds as Koshigaya split its weekend series with Osaka. The Filipino center had 21 points on 10-of-14 shooting from the sector that went with nine rebounds in an 84-78 loss on Saturday.

Shun Matsuyama led the best way with 17 points, five rebounds and eight assists for Koshigaya, which improved to 17-32 within the Eastern division. Entering Sunday, the Alphas were 1-9 of their last 10 outings.
Matt Bonds did the heavy lifting for Osaka (19-30) with 22 points and 15 rebounds, while Ray Parks was the team’s other double-digit scorer with 12.
Elsewhere, Francis Lopez had 16 points, bouncing back from a two-point effort, however the FE Nagoya still lost to Nagasaki Velca, 99-88, at Happiness Arena.
Kiefer Ravena and the Yokohama B-Corsairs (20-29) also took a losss by the hands of the Brave Thunders, 82-75, at Tokyu Dresser Todoroki Arena.

Ravena had seven points, two rebounds and three assists, a day after an 18-point outing in an 85-71 victory.
The Ryukyu Golden Kings, meanwhile, shut down Dwight Ramos and Levanga Hokkaido (31-18) of their two-game set.
Coming off a 29-point outburst against the Ibaraki Robots, Ramos averaged just 3.5 points per game against Ryukyu. He scored two points in an 83-74 loss on Saturday and continued to struggle with five points in a 91-82 defeat the next day.
AJ Edu helped the Gunma Crane Thunders chalk up their ninth consecutive victory after rolling past the Shimane Susanoo Magic, 81-65, on Sunday. Edu had two points, 4 rebounds, one assist and a block for Gunma, which climbed to 33-16. Prior to the streak, the Crane Thunders lost three in a row.
