There is simply one promotion firing on all cylinders presently in skilled wrestling, and that’s AEW, at the least in keeping with their reigning World Champion.
On Twitter, MJF made his daring claim in response to a discussion about watching a couple of wrestling show, saying that only AEW is on fire lately.
This post received a combination of responses, with one fan highlighting that AEW is “not having to resort to Jellyrolls or ex-NFL punters to spice up ticket sales” in a swipe at WWE.
Others were more critical, predicting that MJF could leave AEW for WWE someday, while one argued that “you’ll be able to’t be big time with out a WrestleMania under your belt.”
MJF is in his second reign as AEW World Champion after reclaiming the gold from Samoa Joe, the person who ended MJF’s first reign, in late 2025.
MJF will put the gold on the road against Kenny Omega at AEW Dynasty 2026 when the show takes place on April 12, from Vancouver, BC, Canada.
