Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant grabbed a sensational catch to dismiss Sunrisers Hyderabad batter Liam Livingstone during their IPL 2026 match on Sunday. The incident took place on the eighth over of the SRH innings as Livingstone’s struggles in the center got here to an end because of a surprising fielding from Pant.
The veteran SRH batter tried to hit a delivery from Digvesh Rathi but ended up popping it off the sting. Pant, who at first took one step to his left, jumped on the best side on time and accomplished a surprising one-handed catch. It was an enormous wicket for LSG as SRH scored the fourth-lowest 10-over total within the history of the IPL, as SRH managed to attain only 35 runs for the lack of 4 wickets as well.

So far as the match is worried, Lucknow Super Giants won the toss and elected to bowl against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Each SRH and LSG try to dominate the sport, albeit with different concerns.
While SRH have had mixed results to this point, facing a heavy loss to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), but bouncing back with a fantastic win against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), LSG had a disappointing defeat to Delhi Capitals as well. The move to advertise Rishabh Pant to the highest order didn’t work out, and their middle order struggled after quick dismissals, leaving them with just 141 on the board. And, LSG’s bowlers also did not apply enough pressure.
Winning the toss, LSG captain Rishabh Pant said, “The wicket is nice, allow them to bat first, and we are going to put them under pressure within the second innings. It’s not a brand new challenge, but that is one team that may hurt us. Looks like a very good wicket of course, but there’s something in it, the ball might stick after the primary 6 overs. Only one change, Manimaran Siddarth is in, Nortje is out.”
However, SRH captain Ishan Kishan said, “Very completely satisfied, at all times good to be in front of the house crowd. Two changes – Livingstone and Harshal Patel are available in. Harshal has at all times done well here, Livi will give us some off-spin. Decision-making is an important, try well and execute your plans. It’s necessary to get two points, but we have to be calm and take one match at a time.”
