He explained, “Playing a clean character is unnatural for me,” and used his earlier Kaun Banega Crorepati anecdote to emphasize that his humour is rooted in irreverence. “Ek clean banda kabhi kabhi h*rami nahi ban sakta web pe,” he added, implying that a clean persona doesn’t fit the web’s chaotic nature.
Drawing a metaphor, he said, “Non-vegetarian veg kha sakta hai, vegetarian non-veg khayega ulti hi karega.”

Regarding the fallout from India’s Got Latent, Samay revealed that an FIR was filed against Ranveer Allahbadia for stepping outside his usual persona. “Hum Kashmiri cross fire me hi marte hain,” he remarked, adding, “It broke me like anything,” referring to his decision to take the show down in India. Interestingly, he mentioned receiving support from Pakistan after the show was removed.
Describing the show as raw and largely unscripted, he said, “Bhot gandi gandi baatein keh dete the” to get laughs. Although he tried to “play secure” by editing episodes fastidiously and interacting with panellists post-shoots.
