Kendra Duggar Says Entire Duggar Family Is Helping Her, Joseph

Kendra Duggar shared that the entire Duggar family has allegedly been helping her and husband Joseph Duggar amid their recent legal woes.

“Tell [sister Joy-Anna Duggar] thanks for me, and I really like her a lot,” Joseph, 31, said in a call along with his wife, 27, based on audio obtained by Us Weekly via Washington County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday, April 8. “She’s just been amazing, appears like for you, through all this.”

Joseph also desired to share his appreciation for his mom, Michelle Duggar, for being by Kendra’s side.

“I would like to make sure that you tell her specifically. And Mama, those two,” he continued. “I don’t know who all else is involved.”

Kendra reassured him that the “entire family” has been by her side since Joseph’s arrest. She explained that everybody has been “helping” out in any way that they’ll, whether that be with Kendra and Joseph’s 4 children or checking out a number of the pair’s legal issues with an attorney.

“The entire family, I feel they simply genuinely are like, ‘We love you guys and are here for you,’” Kendra said. “They said, ‘We don’t need to make any decisions for you.’ They only said, ‘We’re here to support you.’ And I’ve been struggling because I used to be like, I just must know what’s occurring in some regard, but I can’t carry the load in any respect.”

Joseph acknowledged it could possibly be “hard to receive help” and expressed his appreciation for his family.

“That’s what we were realizing, actually, right before all this broke out, was that, hey, we actually should be around people, because we’ve been away from people for thus long, we just need that,” he said. “It was healthy for us to be around people. And so I feel that’s good you’re realizing that also.”

Last month, Us confirmed that Joseph was arrested in Arkansas after being accused of sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl, who was 9 years old on the time of the alleged incident. Joseph was charged with lewd and lascivious behavior involving molestation of a victim lower than 12 years old and lewd and lascivious behavior conducted by an individual 18 years or older. He has pleaded not guilty to the fees.

Two days later, Kendra was booked and released that very same day on a $1,470 bond. Kendra and Joseph are each facing charges of endangering the welfare of a minor and 4 counts of second-degree false imprisonment. The fees will not be related to Joseph’s molestation case.

Joseph was later released from a Florida jail after posting $600,000 bail. Kendra reportedly put her family’s home up for rent and sold personal items to pay for Joseph’s bond. Kendra’s parents also created a GoFundMe page to boost funds to “cover displacement expenses.”

Following his release, Joseph and Kendra were reunited, the Counting On alum’s lawyer confirmed to People on Wednesday.
