Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers would walk into Arsenal’s team next season, in accordance with former Premier League striker Jay Bothroyd.
Rogers has attracted widespread interest ahead of the summer transfer window with Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool all considering a move.
The 23-year-old is known to be open to leaving Villa at the top of the season, while the club are aware that receiving a major fee for the England international would ease their financial pressure.
Villa are demanding a minimum of £80 million for Rogers, who has 10 goals and 7 assists in all competitions for Villa this season.
And Bothroyd, who supports Arsenal and got here through the club’s academy, has urged the Gunners to beat competition from their Premier League rivals to sign Rogers.
When asked which club could be the most effective fit for Rogers, Bothroyd told Sky Sports: ‘Arsenal… he walks into Arsenal’s team.

‘He plays week in, week out on the left-hand side, we [Arsenal] need a player who can play on the left-hand side, he’s got that in abundance.
‘He can do it [play on the left wing], we don’t want one other [Gabriel] Martinelli, trust me.
‘I feel like with [Eberechi] Eze, he’s probably Arsenal’s No.10, I would really like to see Morgan Rogers playing there and tucking inside, I feel he’s an ideal player.
‘Once you mention Bayern Munich, I don’t think Bayern Munich is the one. You’ve got Luis Diaz there, he’s playing unbelievably well, you then’ve got [Jamal] Musiala who’s coming back, Lennart Karl, who’s a improbable young player, then obviously [Michael] Olise. I don’t think Rogers would fit into that if he desires to play week in, week out. PSG are an analogous thing, they’ve got some great attacking players.
‘I feel the one which stands out is Arsenal. Even Manchester United, perhaps, but I feel they’ve got [Matheus] Cunha, [Bryan] Mbeumo, [Bruno] Fernandes will probably play as a No.10 next season higher up after they sign their midfielders.
‘I feel like Arsenal is the one where he can say, ‘I’m going there and I’m going to play week in, week out’.’
