Kuldeep Yadav got an enormous wicket by dismissing a well-set Jos Buttler throughout the IPL 2026 match between Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans on the Arun Jaitley Stadium on April 8. Buttler was playing rather well and scored 52 runs off just 27 balls, hitting five sixes and three fours. Kuldeep’s wicket also broke a very important 60-run partnership between Buttler and captain Shubman Gill.
The wicket got here within the eighth over. Kuldeep bowled a slower ball that stayed low and hit the stumps. Buttler tried to play a shot on the leg side but missed it and didn’t get his bat down in time. This was the fourth time Kuldeep has dismissed Buttler in T20 cricket.

Jos Buttler had earlier scored 38 runs off 33 balls against Punjab Kings and 26 off 14 balls against Rajasthan Royals in his first two IPL 2026 matches. However, Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets against Lucknow Super Giants but didn’t get any wickets within the match against the Mumbai Indians.
Shubman Gill and Washington Sundar bring GT back heading in the right direction against DC
Shubman Gill and Washington Sundar helped regular the Gujarat Titans’ innings after early wickets of Sai Sudharsan (12 off 7) and Jos Buttler of their IPL 2026 match against Delhi Capitals. On the time of writing, GT were 152/2 in 14 overs, with Gill (45 off 31) and Sundar (39* off 31) batting. Aside from Kuldeep Yadav, Mukesh Kumar also picked up one wicket for DC.
Delhi will probably be aiming for his or her third straight win after beating Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians of their first two matches. Nevertheless, they’d lost twice to GT in IPL 2025. However, GT had beaten Punjab Kings by three wickets but then lost to Rajasthan Royals by six runs of their previous game. They will probably be seeking to make a comeback against DC.
