Sanjiv Goenka, owner of Lucknow Super Giants, shared a heartwarming moment on the sphere with the team’s emerging batting talent Mukul Choudhary after his match-winning performance against Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2026. Goenka, known for actively backing his team, was seen engaged in an in depth conversation with Mukul following the sport.
The young middle-order batter played a vital unbeaten knock of 54 off just 27 balls, guiding LSG to chase down KKR’s goal of 181 in an exhilarating contest at Eden Gardens. In a video circulating on social media, Goenka appeared to praise Mukul warmly, celebrating his effort in a fashion that reflected a proud, father-like gesture.

After the match, Mukul Choudhary spoke about his cricketing journey, sharing that he began playing the game on the age of 12–13, although his father had envisioned him becoming a cricketer even before he was born.
“Even before my dad got married, it was his dream that his son would play cricket. Financial condition was not superb initially. I started playing at 12-13 years old. There have been not a variety of academies in Jhunjhunu after which I moved to Jaipur,” he said.
Emphasising his attempts to regulate to the changing demands of the sport, he further stated:
“I saw how much T20 cricket is growing, so I moved to Gurgaon (now Gurugram) and stayed there for 3-4 months.”
Mukul Choudhary Views Pressure as an Opportunity
When questioned about coping with pressure in crucial moments, the teen stated that he prefers to view it as a chance.
“Pressure is at all times there, but God has given us this chance and I attempt to do what I can. I see it as a chance somewhat than taking pressure. My plan was to play till the top, and I believed that if I stayed till the top, I could make the team win,” he said.
