Manchester United can tighten their grip on third place within the Premier League after they tackle Leeds United tonight.
It’s been 34 days since Michael Carrick’s side were last in motion but results elsewhere on the weekend have been kind to them with Aston Villa and Chelsea each dropping points.
A win tonight will see them open up daylight between those and the chasing pack within the battle for Champions League qualification.
Leeds are usually not protected yet – good results for Nottingham Forest and West Ham United threaten to tug them into the relegation battle but a shock win tonight at Old Trafford would go a way in alleviating those concerns.
Metro’s LIVE matchday blog will bring you all of the build-up, confirmed team news and starting XIs, goal updates and minute-by-minute coverage.
