Meryl Streep<\/strong> is gearing up for The Devil Wears Prada 2<\/em> to premiere.<\/p>\n

Streep, 76, looked her best in a cerulean blue cable knit sweater while making an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert<\/em><\/a> on Thursday, April 2. During her sit-down with Colbert, 61, the actress, who plays Miranda Priestly within the movie, rocked the colourful knit custom made by J. Crew.<\/p>\n

She teamed the look with blue eyeglasses, silver hoop earrings and a black leather watch.<\/p>\n

Through the episode, Streep gave fans the within scoop on what they’ll expect from the movie, which is about to premiere on May 1. \u201cIt\u2019s been 20 years and Andrea has gone off and done good work in journalism,\u201d she explained of Anne Hathaway\u2019s character, Andy Sachs.<\/p>\n

Hathaway, 42, took to TikTok on Monday, July 21, to revive a virtually similar blue sweater because the cerulean knit her character, Andrea \u201cAndy\u201d Sachs, wore while being corrected by Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) within the 2006 movie. Within the clip, Hathaway [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cAt the start of the film, the entire media outlets are under siege by our latest digital overlords,\u201d she continued. \u201cSo she\u2019s out of a job \u2026 and circumstances lead her to this moment where she comes back to Runway [magazine]. I [Miranda Priestly] was not aware that she had been hired.\u201d<\/p>\n

For the uninformed, Streep\u2019s blue sweater is so iconic due to a conversation between Miranda and Andy in the primary movie, which debuted in 2006.<\/p>\n
