The two-minute-32-second trailer introduces Rajkummar Rao as Ramakant, the last word kanjoos who believes in saving each penny. Things spiral hilariously when he finally ends up buying a toaster as a marriage gift, on the suggestion of his wife, played by Sanya Malhotra.<\/p>\n
What follows is pure chaos. The wedding falls apart, but Ramakant\u2019s obsession with getting his gift back takes center stage, turning a straightforward situation into an absurd, messy and laugh-out-loud conflict.<\/p>\n
You already know you\u2019re in for a laughter riot when the ensemble forged includes names like Archana Puran Singh, Abhishek Banerjee, and Farah Khan.<\/p>\n
Toaster embraces its silliness unapologetically. And truthfully, it appears like the form of mindless comedy Bollywood has taken a break from. It might be unfair to match it to cult classics like Hera Pheri, Welcome, or Golmaal: Fun Unlimited, however it definitely captures the identical spirit \u2013 chaotic, outrageous, and excellent for switching your brain off and easily having fun with the ride.<\/p>\n
Rajkummar Rao appears to be in his comfort zone, looking completely convincing because the miserly Ramakant. Meanwhile, Sanya Malhotra, who has impressed in movies like Ludo and Badhaai Ho, raises expectations yet again.<\/p>\n
That said, it\u2019s the supporting forged that actually has me excited. With performers like Seema Pahwa, Archana Puran Singh, Abhishek Banerjee, and Farah Khan, the film has a lineup of naturally gifted comic actors, setting the stage for many of rib-tickling moments.<\/p>\n
The dialogues, screenplay, and even the background rating manage to maintain you hooked throughout the trailer. Hopefully, director Vivek Das Chaudhary delivers a movie that lives as much as this promise.<\/p>\n
Toaster is ready to premiere on Netflix on April 15, 2026. The film also marks the debut production enterprise of Patralekhaa under her banner, Kampa Film. The supporting forged includes Vinod Rawat and Jitendra Joshi.<\/p>\n
