Dominik Szoboszlai seemed to be unhappy with Liverpool\u2019s supporters after their 4-0 defeat to Manchester City within the FA Cup on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Liverpool fans were seen leaving the Etihad Stadium before the hour mark after a hat-trick from Erling Haaland and a neat finish from Antoine Semenyo put City out of sight.<\/p>\n
After the defeat, Szoboszlai approached the away section on the Etihad and commenced to clap, nevertheless, the Hungary international then shrugged his shoulders and commenced to wave his arms to suggest the Liverpool supporters weren’t making enough noise.<\/p>\n
Szoboszlai was then led away by Federico Chiesa, while Liverpool supporters directed their anger towards the midfielder on social media.<\/p>\n
A Liverpool fan named Charlie wrote on X: \u2018Szoboszlai giving it to the away lads who’ve paid good money to observe their team get spanked and throw the towel in after 40 minutes is every part improper with the club. Don\u2019t get me began on the Cherki shirt thing. Joke. Don\u2019t recognise my team anymore, and that’s the truth.\u2019<\/p>\n
One other Liverpool supporter wrote: \u2018Szoboszlai having a tantrum at Liverpool fans after getting absolutely dismantled 4-0. Mate, sort the performance out before gesturing on the individuals who travelled and paid to observe that horror show.\u2019<\/p>\n

Speaking after the sport, Szoboszlai criticised the mentality and attitude of his Liverpool teammates.<\/p>\n
\u2018The fighting spirit wasn\u2019t there enough, the mentality wasn\u2019t there enough. None of us were there, to be honest, as much as we could,\u2019 said Szoboszlai.<\/p>\n
\u2018It\u2019s a tough time but we’ve got to stay together. On Wednesday there may be one other likelihood [against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League], but we’ve got to get in our heads this shouldn’t be how we would really like the season to finish.\u2019<\/p>\n
When asked to elucidate the rationale behind Liverpool\u2019s mentality, Szoboszlai replied: \u2018That\u2019s a superb query. I don\u2019t know. It\u2019s hard to search out words to be honest. We wanted this one a lot. You lose 4-0 at City and it\u2019s not the most effective.<\/p>\n

\u2018It\u2019s hard to win here. After 1-0 down, you continue to consider. At 2-0 down, it was our own fault to are available in at half-time conceding one other goal within the last minute. At 2-0, the chances are high lower and lower.<\/p>\n

But then we had a throw-in, twice we conceded after we had a throw-in. And so they go so fast. In those moments you have got to defend sharper.<\/p>\n
\u2018The second goal was the same one we conceded earlier on this season over here. And the second time that we concede just before half-time, playing Man City.<\/p>\n
\u2018I miss the fighting spirit definitely in the primary 10 minutes after half-time after which afterwards it was only a game where each teams accepted it was 4-0. <\/p>\n
\u2018But in that 10, quarter-hour of time, I missed fighting spirit but just the willingness to win your duel, to be there first, to make it difficult for either a pass or a cross or a finish. Yeah, that’s something that we definitely need to do higher on Wednesday.\u2019<\/p>\n
