Janhvi Kapoor recalls disturbing early deepfake experience: \u201cI saw an image of myself on a porn site\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Reflecting on the episode, Kapoor said, \u201cI don\u2019t know if it was technically a deepfake, nevertheless it was something like that. I saw an image of myself on a porn site. We had IT class in class, and the boys used to go on those sites for fun\u2014and my pictures were there. This was while I used to be still in class. That was a weird experience.\u201d<\/p>\n The actor admitted that the incident forced her to confront the darker realities of being in the general public eye at a young age. \u201cIn some unspecified time in the future, I assumed, \u2018Why? Is that this just the worth you’ve got to pay?\u2019 Like there\u2019s no morality in these items. With social media, everyone seems to be just putting things on the market. If anything, this latest \u2018woke\u2019 sensitivity has barely corrected behaviour by way of ethics and morality\u2014but largely, it\u2019s still an issue. Loads of people think it\u2019s normal\u2014\u2018This happens, you\u2019re a public figure, so it should occur\u2019,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n Kapoor also expressed concern over the growing circulation of AI-generated visuals that misrepresent her. \u201cI\u2019m not at peace with it. There are visuals of me on the market\u2014circulated even by official news pages\u2014which are completely AI-generated. I\u2019ve never worn those things, I\u2019ve never been photographed like that. Nevertheless it\u2019s circulated as if it\u2019s real, making a certain impression,\u201d she revealed.<\/p>\n Highlighting the skilled implications, she added, \u201cTomorrow, if I\u2019m doing a movie and I tell a director I\u2019m not comfortable wearing something, they may say, \u2018But you\u2019ve already done this\u2014people have seen it.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Despite her discomfort, Kapoor acknowledged the restrictions she feels in speaking out. \u201cIt makes you query what the moral guidelines even are. It upsets me, after all. But I feel like I don\u2019t have enough voice or credibility to complain about it. People might say, \u2018You\u2019ve got a lot in life, just tolerate this. Don\u2019t complain.\u2019 So I don\u2019t think my voice carries enough weight yet to handle it without backlash.
