A number of days ago, reports got here in that the sequel to Kangana Ranaut\u2019s iconic film, Queen<\/em> (2014), is within the works. In line with the article in Mid-Day, the film might be directed by Vikas Bahl, who also helmed the primary part, and is about to go on floors in April. Bollywood Hungama<\/strong> has learned that the film won’t be called Queen 2 and that the makers have a title in mind.<\/p>\n

A source told Bollywood Hungama<\/strong>, \u201cThe makers had several options for the film\u2019s title and the one which has really caught their eye is Queen Eternally<\/em>. If all goes well, this might be what the film might be called.\u201d<\/p>\n

The source continued, \u201cThe makers feel Queen Eternally<\/em> is the apt title and that it suits the film\u2019s subject. They’re expected to finalize it very soon and make an official announcement, hopefully before the film\u2019s shoot begins.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bollywood Hungama<\/strong> has also learned that Amit Chandrra of Trigger Joyful Entertainment might be producing Queen Eternally<\/em>. His banner, Trigger Joyful Studios, earlier produced the Farhan Akhtar-starrer 120 Bahadur together with Excel Entertainment.<\/p>\n

As per the Mid-Day story, in Queen<\/em>\u2019s sequel, Kangana Ranaut\u2019s character, Rani, is not going to go to foreign shores. As an alternative, she\u2019ll travel to different cities across India while also embarking on a journey of self-discovery.<\/p>\n

About Queen<\/strong>
Besides Kangana Ranaut, Queen<\/em> also starred Rajkummar Rao, Lisa Haydon, Nayani Dixit and others. It was produced by Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap of Phantom Movies, together with Viacom18 Motion Pictures, and told the story of a woman left devastated after her fianc\u00e9 calls off their wedding on the last minute. Nevertheless, she decides to go on her honeymoon alone. How this trip transforms her life completely formed the remainder of the film.<\/p>\n

Queen<\/em> emerged as a pathbreaking film and was loved for its subject, progressive theme, treatment, award-winning performance by Kangana Ranaut and music by Amit Trivedi. The film opened at just Rs. 1.75 crores after which went on to earn Rs. 61 crores in its lifetime through sheer word of mouth. It was also a rare film within the 2010s to gather more in Week 2 than in Week 1.<\/p>\n
