Aliling, who also chairs the 11-member Pag-IBIG Fund Board of Trustees, announced the approval of a special Pag-IBIG Fund advantages package for repatriated OFWs, allowing them to access their savings and receive temporary relief on housing loan payments as they recuperate and rebuild their lives back home.<\/span><\/p>\n Under the approved advantages package, qualified OFW members may apply to withdraw as much as 100% of their Pag-IBIG Regular Savings, including their worker share, employer share, and dividends earned, even before its 20-year maturity; withdraw as much as 100% of their Modified Pag-IBIG II or MP2 Savings, inclusive of returns earned, even before its 5-year maturity; or avail of a 3-month moratorium on Pag-IBIG Housing Loan payments, free from interest and penalties, with the loan term prolonged by three months.<\/span><\/p>\n The package forms a part of Pag-IBIG Fund\u2019s response to the directive of\u00a0the\u00a0President\u00a0to offer\u00a0timely\u00a0and meaningful\u00a0assistance\u00a0to OFWs affected by the conflict within the Middle East.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIn adherence to the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos,\u00a0Jr., Pag-IBIG Fund stands able to extend practical and immediate assistance to our OFWs affected by the situation within the Middle East,\u201d\u00a0Mr.\u00a0Aliling said. \u201cThrough this advantages package, qualified members may access their Pag-IBIG savings and receive temporary relief on housing loan payments, giving them more room to offer for his or her families and meet urgent needs during this difficult time.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n As of February 2026, Pag-IBIG Fund has 891,427 registered OFW members within the Middle East, including 86,234 MP2 savers and 40,024 housing loan borrowers, with the biggest numbers in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait. These approved relief measures are intended to assist affected members meet urgent family and household expenses through\u00a0early access\u00a0to their savings, while also giving qualified housing loan borrowers respiratory room from monthly payments as they recuperate and start rebuilding their lives within the Philippines.<\/span><\/p>\n Meanwhile, Pag-IBIG Fund Chief Executive Officer Marilene C. Acosta said Pag-IBIG Fund is able to deliver the approved financial assistance package in a way that’s prompt, accessible, and attentive to the needs of affected OFW members, in support of the federal government\u2019s broader assistance and reintegration efforts for them.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe recognize that for this assistance to be truly responsive, it have to be made available to qualified members in a way that’s fast, clear, and accessible,\u201d\u00a0Ms.\u00a0Acosta said.\u00a0\u201cThat’s the reason we’ll make applications for these advantages available online through Virtual Pag-IBIG, while also ensuring that our greater than 200 branches, OFW Centers, and repair offices are able to\u00a0assist\u00a0members and their families. In doing so, Pag-IBIG Fund also supports the\u00a0assistance\u00a0and reintegration efforts being carried out by the Department of Migrant Staff and the Overseas Staff Welfare Administration for affected OFWs.
