Jiri Prochazka\u2019s profession is tied to Alex Pereira\u2019s following their two previous encounters.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Last October, Prochazka was emotional watching Pereira win back the sunshine heavyweight title to grow to be a two-time champion at 205 kilos.<\/p>\n

Avenging his loss to Magomed Ankalaev allowed \u2018Poatan\u2019 to resume the plans that he had before he lost the belt earlier in 2025.<\/p>\n

Jiri Prochazka backs Alex Pereira to outstrike and beat Ciryl Gane in interim heavyweight title fight<\/h2>\n

The case has been made that Ciryl Gane is a greater matchup for Alex Pereira\u2019s heavyweight debut than the Jon Jones fight that the Brazilian star was pursuing.<\/p>\n

His move to try to grow to be the primary UFC fighter to win belts in three divisions sees him face a fellow striker for the interim belt on the White House on June 14.<\/p>\n

Having faced Pereira twice lately, Jiri Prochazka is confident that his former foe\u2019s skillset goes to translate to heavyweight.<\/p>\n

\u201cI consider Alex can try this,\u201d Prochazka recently said on\u00a0Adin Ross\u2019 Kick stream<\/a> when asking about Pereira winning a belt at heavyweight. \u201cAlex can try this, especially after I saw him, how his weight goes up. He\u2019s strong enough, too, and within the stand-up, I consider he can be higher. But Gane is numerous movement for that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Within the last decade, Prochazka has only suffered losses to Pereira, whose devastating striking has proven to be the reply to the fan favorite\u2019s somewhat chaotic approach.<\/p>\n

Gane, nonetheless, is a really different fighter and an incredibly rare breed at heavyweight, provided that he\u2019s known for his agility and movement, which makes a clash with \u2018Poatan\u2019 so interesting.<\/p>\n

Prochazka recently told MMA Junkie<\/a> that he believes he\u2019d must move as much as heavyweight in an effort to get the trilogy fight with Pereira.<\/p>\n

While this isn\u2019t a priority for him and he believes he\u2019s higher suited to light heavyweight, Prochazka continues to be confident he could do well on this division.<\/p>\n
