Netflix is launching a brand new stand-alone app for teenagers\u2019 games called Netflix Playground, the corporate announced<\/a> on Monday. Netflix Playground is obtainable as a part of a Netflix subscription, and doesn\u2019t have any ads or in-app purchases.<\/p>\n Netflix says the app gives children access to an \u201cever-growing\u201d library of games for teenagers. Netflix Playground is launching with titles featuring characters from popular kids\u2019 shows.<\/p>\n The app, which is designed for youngsters ages eight and under, is now available within the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Australia, the Philippines, and Recent Zealand. It should roll out worldwide on April 28. The app is obtainable on each iOS<\/a> and Android<\/a>.<\/p>\n It might probably be accessed offline and not using a mobile or Wi-Fi connection, which the corporate says makes it the \u201cperfect companion for long airplane rides or grocery trips.\u201d<\/p>\n For instance, one game is titled \u201cPlaytime With Peppa Pig,\u201d and sees players \u201cjump into Peppa\u2019s world with a set of playful activities.\u201d There\u2019s also a \u201cSesame Street\u201d game where players practice matching with memory cards or coordination with connect-the-dots. Whether it\u2019s reuniting with Hank and the \u2018Trash Truck\u2019 crew for brand spanking new adventures or making a smoothie with \u2018Peppa Pig,\u2019 watching and playing on Netflix will be the fun and easiest a part of every family\u2019s day.\u201d<\/p>\n Netflix first launched games in 2021 and had ambitious plans for the space, but has since dialed them back after its titles failed to realize traction.
