Deshpande, who bowled the ultimate over, admitted that the pressure was there but shared his execution.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy heart rate was high. I had a belief at the highest of my mind that I’d execute yorkers today. The wicket was superb. There was a slight dew. So, the slower ball was not working that much. So, I attempted to bowl a high-percentage ball. And I executed it under pressure with God\u2019s grace.\u201d<\/p>\n
Nevertheless, Gujarat needed 15 runs off the last two overs, but Jofra Archer conceded just 4 runs within the penultimate over, which modified the momentum. Deshpande then bowled a clutch final over, repeatedly hitting his yorkers to seal the match as well.<\/p>\n
Reflecting on his game after missing the primary match against the Chennai Super Kings resulting from injury, Deshpande said, \u201cThe last match was very unlucky. There was a small incident, and I couldn\u2019t play. So, I used to be slightly fired up that I didn\u2019t need to miss the match for the team. The best way we’re preparing, the intensity within the group-after Sanga\u2019s (head coach Kumar Sangakkara) arrival, the togetherness is excellent. And the best way everyone seems to be gearing up and planning for the team. So, I used to be slightly dejected. I had to come back and provides my effort on this match.\u201d<\/p>\n
Earlier, the Gujarat Titans were going strong at 103 for 1 in 10 overs before Ravi Bishnoi triggered the slide with a shocking spell through the center overs, ending with 4 wickets as GT reduced to 161 for 7.<\/p>\n
Speaking on this, Bishnoi said, \u201cThe hassle was to come back and bowl on a great line. And one side was big.
