The Golden State Warriors had an off day on Wednesday, and with the free time, Brandin Podziemski did probably the most typical thing an individual from Greenfield, Wisconsin would do: Watch a hockey game.<\/p>\n

Podziemski attended the sport between his favorite team, the Edmonton Oilers, and the San Jose Sharks at SAP Center in California. He was not disenchanted, because the Oilers won, 5-2, to remain atop the Pacific Division within the NHL.<\/p>\n

He revealed in an interview with Sportsnet that he was introduced to hockey<\/a> when he was 10 or 11 years old, adding that he was enticed to cheer for the Oilers because he liked the team’s colours.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn’t really know much about it. I just followed suit because we haven’t got a team in Milwaukee. I just liked it ever since, and it has been cool to see,\u201d said Podziemski, who was wearing a Connor McDavid jersey.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old guard also expressed his admiration for McDavid, who scored his third hat-trick of the season against the Sharks. Podziemski said the Edmonton star’s greatness reminds him loads of teammate Stephen Curry.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust the things he’s (McDavid) capable of do on the ice, you may attempt to emulate and replicate him as much as you wish, but there’s just no person like him. The identical thing with Steph. I get to see it day by day. Numerous comparisons there,\u201d explained Podziemski.<\/p>\n

Podziemski and Curry helped the Warriors defeat the Sacramento Kings, 110-105, at Chase Center on Tuesday to snap their four-game losing streak.<\/p>\n

It was Curry’s second game back from his knee injury, which kept him sidelined for multiple weeks. He had 17 points, including 4 three-pointers, and five rebounds off the bench.<\/p>\n

Podziemski, meanwhile, tallied 20 points, including 4 three-pointers, and three assists.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
