On April 10, Clark County officials proclaimed Bruno Mars Day to rejoice the singer\u2019s significant impact on Las Vegas. Mars has had a continuous residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM, which kicked off in 2016. He has performed a whole lot of shows since then, grossing greater than $154 million<\/a> as of December 2025.<\/p>\n

The day kicked off with a parade from the Bellagio to Park MGM, with a big crowd lined up on the streets to catch a glimpse of the person himself. The parade consisted of dance and cheer teams on double-decker buses, a mariachi band, a marching band, and a large float. Mars, donning a white cowboy hat, joined the parade in a pink vintage convertible. <\/p>\n

Mars, who was described because the \u201clatest king of Las Vegas,\u201d also received an enormous honor, with Clark County Commissioner Jim Gibson officially renaming Park Avenue to Bruno Mars Drive. The singer took the stage to precise his gratitude, saying how much he loves Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

\u201cTen, 15 years ago, after I first started off, they said, \u2018Bruno, don\u2019t play Vegas just yet. MGM Resorts CEO and President Bill Hornbuckle said Mars has proved that he has the \u201clegacy and legs\u201d to maintain performing in Las Vegas even several years from now.<\/p>\n

Mars also shared a touching message<\/a> sent by his father, reading, \u201cMy loving son, I do know you don\u2019t like getting advice, but getting a street named after you is a monumental move. I do know you should be very proud, because I’m so very pleased with you\u2026 Be humble. Tell your fans, that is their street, and you’re so honored and grateful.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other than the festivities, Mars also donated $1 million<\/a> to a children\u2019s hospital in Las Vegas, Intermountain Children\u2019s Health, with the quantity matched by MGM Grand. The big check was received by a 12-year-old boy named Benji Sanchez, an enormous Bruno Mars fan and a three-time cancer survivor. \u201cI believe it\u2019s gonna be great. I believe it\u2019s gonna help out quite a bit. I believe it\u2019s gonna help out our latest children\u2019s hospital,\u201d Benji said.<\/p>\n

The donation marks the most recent philanthropic effort from the singer, who has supported several charities and foundations throughout the years, including The Rainforest Foundation, the Red Cross, Global Poverty Project, and MusiCares. Certainly one of the primary major entertainers to have a street renamed after him was Elvis Presley. In 1972, the King of Rock and Roll was honored when Highway 51 South was renamed Elvis Presley Boulevard. Other notable streets named after entertainers include Duke Ellington Way, Houdini Street, Jimmy Buffett Street, Sammy Davis Jr. Drive, Tupac Lane, and Marilyn Monroe Avenue, per Vegas Changes<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Bruno Mars Kicked Off His \u2018The Romantic\u2019 Tour<\/h2>\n

Bruno Mars Day also marked the primary night of the singer\u2019s \u201cThe Romantic\u201d tour. On the celebration, Mars performed the song \u201cTreasure\u201d from his 2012 album \u201cUnorthodox Jukebox,\u201d before telling the gang that he had to depart. \u201cI\u2019ve gotta go now, I even have a stadium to take over,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The tour kicked off on the night of April 10, launching from Las Vegas before taking the show across North America and Europe. Mars will hit major cities, including Houston, Atlanta, Toronto, London, Paris, and Madrid, with the tour scheduled to wrap in December. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
