Shawn Hatosy <\/b>reacted to the news that his The Pitt <\/i>costar Supriya Ganesh <\/b>is not going to return for the upcoming third season of the medical hit.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t really comment because I don\u2019t really know exactly what\u2019s occurring there, but he\u2019s obviously disillusioned,\u201d Hatosy, 50, told Gold Derby<\/span><\/a> in a Friday, April 10, interview, referring to his character. \u201cI\u2019m disillusioned just for this reason dynamic [and] this relationship that they’ve \u2026 the writers teased these moments throughout season 1 and we explored it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hatosy stars on The Pitt <\/i>as Dr. Abbot, an evening shift attending who works with SWAT in the course of the day. Ganesh, 28, meanwhile portrays resident Dr. Mohan. News broke earlier in April that Ganesh won\u2019t return for season 3,<\/span> which was a \u201cstory-driven\u201d decision.<\/p>\n

Throughout each season 1 and a couple of, fans have shipped Abbot and Mohan, especially when he offered to cover funds for a pricy procedure with no questions asked.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe Pitt fans are divided over Supriya Ganesh\u2018s exit from the show ahead of season 3. Ganesh, 28, originally joined the HBO Max series as Samira Mohan in season 1 alongside Noah Wyle, Tracy Ifeachor, Patrick Ball, Katherine LaNasa, Fiona Dourif, Taylor Dearden, Isa Briones, Gerran Howell and Shabana Azeez. By the point the show [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s no there <\/i>there aside from this concept, so the thought isn\u2019t finished,\u201d Hatosy told Gold Derby. \u201cI feel that Supriya\u2019s characterization of Dr. Mohan and what she has dropped at it has made the audience love her in a giant way, you recognize, she\u2019s a fan-favorite.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cI might say that Dr. Abbot is the top of [Mohan\u2019s] fan club, you recognize, and early on he\u2019s believed in her and he sees her as the long run. He says that she\u2019s the neatest one here.\u201d<\/p>\n

Based on Hatosy, he\u2019d wish to bring Ganesh\u2019s Mohan to the night shift for a possible spinoff.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel the facility dynamic is apparent, so I don\u2019t see Abbot as someone who would cross that line,\u201d he teased of fan hope for an onscreen romance. \u201cI feel that\u2019s what makes the connection so special since it\u2019s clear that he\u2019s got that attraction, but there\u2019s nowhere to go along with it. That creates this excitement, you recognize?\u201d<\/p>\n
