\u201cAdam Foote was handed a unclean deal. I mean, by way of the roster that he has, right? , when he began the yr, I feel a part of his sales pitch to get the job, to land the job as head coach of the Vancouver Canucks is, \u2018Hey, , I\u2019m a Quinn Hughes<\/a> whisperer. So I, , I\u2019m gonna I\u2019m gonna get Quinn on course here. Every thing\u2019s gonna be good. The team goes to be wonderful.\u2019<\/p>\n

Then you definately run into injury trouble. Then you definately\u2019ve got the JT Miller trade. Then you definately\u2019ve got Quinn Hughes, who gets traded, and now Adam put his coaching the worst team within the National Hockey League.<\/p>\n

So how much of that’s on him, how much of that’s the hand that he\u2019s been dealt. And then you definitely pair that with the success of Manny Malhotra<\/a> contained in the organization, and also you\u2019re wondering, \u2018Okay, well, if the rebuild remains to be fully in effect, are we higher this offseason to make a change that some consider may very well be inevitable?\u2019<\/p>\n

Dreger: \u201cI feel there could be. And, and that\u2019s not firm. That\u2019s just knowing what the view of Manny Malhotra was a yr ago, and the undeniable fact that Manny said that, well, he\u2019s, he\u2019s a coach that we\u2019re maintaining a tally of, right?<\/p>\n

And when, if you get to that level, that implies that other clubs, not only Vancouver, are monitoring, right? And so they have their list. It\u2019s no different than players. , every team\u2019s got their collection of whiteboards, and these are the players that we consider are in play. Listed below are the players that, as a company we feel we must always have interest. And so they do the identical thing with coaches at every level, right?<\/p>\n

And that\u2019s not only Vancouver Canuck sources considering, based on what they\u2019ve seen, that he\u2019s NHL ready. That\u2019s coming from other teams within the National Hockey League. So possibly Vancouver doesn\u2019t move, anyone else will try.\u201d<\/p>\n
