Kelvin Gastelum\u2019s latest defeat has fans calling for him to be cut from the UFC \u2013 despite winning two of his last 4.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The previous Ultimate Fighter winner and Hall of Fame inductee was relegated to the second prelim of the night at UFC 327 as he took on fellow veteran Vicente Luque. Each men are known best for his or her exploits at 170lb, but opted to fight at middleweight.<\/p>\n

And inside a round, Luque had a Darce choke locked in to finish his own losing run and rating his first victory since December of 2024. And although Gastelum won his last fight, fans appear to be finished with the once popular title challenger.<\/p>\n

Fans want Kelvin Gastelum cut after UFC 327 defeat to Vicente Luque<\/h2>\n

While Kelvin Gastelum has won two of his last 4 \u2013 it’s value noting that the previous world title challenger was way chubby for each of those victories. In fights where there have been no weight issues, he got here into tonight\u2019s fight on a two-bout losing run.<\/p>\n

And it took Vicente Luque only one round of their outrageously-placed matchup to submit him with a Darce choke after dropping the renowned striker during an exchange. It was Luque\u2019s first victory since December of 2024 and his first since moving back as much as middleweight after 14 years.<\/p>\n

Gastelum was once a fan favorite for his exciting hard-hitting style. But he has lost the support of viewers along with his weight misses and poor performances, and now fans consider that he must be cut from the roster altogether.<\/p>\n

The responses to his result were brutal, with one fan writing: \u201cGastelum must be cut ASAP. Dude is now 4-8 in his last 12 fights.\u201d One other claimed that he’s a \u201ca fat lazy piece of s\u2014 and must be cut from the UFC.\u201d<\/p>\n
