Pete Davidson told fans during his April 11 comedy show at Las Vegas\u2019 The Fontainebleau that he approached rehab with a distinct mindset this time.<\/p>\n

In footage obtained by Us Weekly<\/em><\/a>, the comedian admitted he was bored with repeating the identical cycle.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He joked that one in all his first thoughts was practical as he desired to stop wasting money on treatment that never looked as if it would stick.<\/p>\n

\u201cI went to rehab this time. I used to be like, \u2018I\u2019m gonna I\u2019m gonna actually do it so I could avoid wasting of this money I\u2019m making and stop blowing it on rehab,\u2019\u201d Pete said.<\/p>\n

The \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d alum explained that a part of the method included family week, where patients would speak with family members in therapy sessions.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In line with him, the exercise was designed to point out addicts how their behavior affected the people around them. For Pete, that session ended up becoming the turning point.<\/p>\n

He recalled how direct and emotional the conversation became. \u201cI remember my mom popped on the screen, and he or she was like, \u2018Peter, it\u2019s really hard to be your mom. It\u2019s not a fun job,\u2019\u201d the actor revealed.<\/p>\n

At first, he admitted he reacted defensively. Newly sober and still emotionally raw, Pete said a part of him initially brushed off her comments. Nevertheless, Amy didn’t stop there.<\/p>\n

He said his mother then told him, \u201cPeter, \u2018It\u2019s very hard to be your mom because I get up every morning with the fear that I\u2019ll activate the news and see that my son has died.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

That, Pete said, broke through. \u201cShe went, \u2018Enough.\u2019 She f***ed me up,\u201d he added. The 32-year-old also found humor within the pain, joking that the emotional speech happened over Zoom from the home he had bought her while using drugs.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Still, he made it clear that the moment modified him. \u201cThat got me sober.\u201d<\/p>\n
