Plaza\u2019s rep confirmed to People in April 2026 that the actress is pregnant and expecting her first baby with Abbott. A source told the publication that it was a \u201cbeautiful surprise\u201d following the Parks and Recreation alum\u2019s difficult yr. Plaza [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
While it\u2019s unclear when her relationship with Abbott, 40, began, the couple previously worked together on several projects. They first met while starring within the 2020 film Black Bear<\/em> and later reunited for an Off-Broadway production of Danny and the Deep Blue Sea<\/em>.<\/p>\nPlaza\u2019s pregnancy comes a couple of yr after her estranged husband, Jeff Baena<\/strong>, died by suicide at age 47 in January 2025. The previous couple were married for nearly five years before they separated months prior to his death.<\/p>\n\u201cThat is an unimaginable tragedy,\u201d Plaza\u2019s rep told Us Weekly<\/em> in a press release following Baena\u2019s death. \u201cWe’re deeply grateful to everyone who has offered support. Please respect our privacy during this time.\u201d<\/p>\nPlaza spoke candidly about losing Baena during an August 2025 appearance on Amy Poehler<\/strong>\u2019s \u201cGood Hang\u201d podcast. Poehler, 54, told Plaza that fans wanted to listen to from her after Baena\u2019s death.<\/p>\n\u201cYou had this terrible, terrible, tragic yr. You lost your husband. You\u2019ve been coping with that, and also you\u2019ve been on the lookout for all other ways through which to feel and find support,\u201d Poehler said on the time. \u201cOn behalf of the entire individuals who feel like they know you, and the individuals who do know you, how are you feeling today?\u201d<\/p>\n
