Bayern Munich have made Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon a top transfer goal this summer and have made contact along with his representatives, in line with reports in Germany.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old is having fun with one of the best goal-scoring season of his profession, finding particular success within the Champions League.<\/p>\n

The England international has scored 10 goals in only 12 European appearances, with 17 in 45 outings across all competitions.<\/p>\n

It has been a difficult season for the Magpies within the Premier League, but Gordon\u2019s stock remains to be very high as he looks set to go to the World Cup with England this summer.<\/p>\n

The previous Everton winger has been linked with plenty of Premier League clubs in recent months, including Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea.<\/p>\n

Now a heavyweight from overseas has entered the race as Bayern Munich need to tempt Gordon to Bavaria.<\/p>\n

Sky Sport Germany<\/a> report that Bayern want to herald Gordon as competition for Luis Diaz on the left wing.<\/p>\n

The report states that the Germans think they will get the Newcastle star for \u20ac60m (\u00a352m), which seems extremely ambitious given the Magpies paid \u00a345m for him in January 2023.<\/p>\n

Gordon stays under contract at St James\u2019 Park until 2030, so Newcastle are usually not under pressure to sell one in all their star men below market value.<\/p>\n

Newcastle legend Alan Shearer reckons any interested party would need to pay more like double that quantity in the event that they need to sign Gordon this summer.<\/p>\n

Gordon himself spoke out on transfer speculation in February, when he dismissed his links with various clubs as \u2018a load of rubbish.\u2019<\/p>\n

Asked if he was focused on becoming a Newcastle legend, the ex-Everton man replied: \u2018After all. I even have undergone enough transfer stuff now to know that it’s all a load of rubbish.<\/p>\n
