The Anaheim Geese have some postseason hockey to organize for, as they’re headed to the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs for the primary time in nearly 10 years.<\/p>\n

The Geese have the San Jose Sharks to thank for his or her ticket to the 2026 NHL playoffs following the latter’s 3-2 victory over the Nashville Predators on Monday night at Bridgestone Arena.<\/p>\n

Anaheim had missed the playoffs in each of the last seven seasons, and the last time the Geese made the postseason, they didn’t last long, as they were eliminated in the primary round of the 2018 playoffs by, well, the Sharks.<\/p>\n

Head coach Joel Quenneville, who isn’t any stranger to success within the playoffs, will look so as to add to his postseason resume, this time with the Geese. He won three Stanley Cup titles as head coach of the Chicago Blackhawks within the 2010s and is in his first season on the job with Anaheim.<\/p>\n

Although the Geese need not win any of their last two games this season to make the playoffs, they’ll still use those outings to realize some steam. Furthermore, they’ve the potential to top the Pacific Division. The Geese have 90 points, just some extent behind the Vegas Golden Knights and tied with the Edmonton Oilers within the standings on the time of this writing.<\/p>\n

Anaheim is in ugly type of late, having lost seven of its last eight games, including Sunday’s 4-3 time beyond regulation loss to the Vancouver Canucks within the Geese’ home game of the regular season.<\/p>\n

The Geese will play the Minnesota Vikings on Tuesday at Grand Casino Arena in Saint Paul, then face the Predators on Thursday at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
