Fortunately for the newly-crowned light-heavyweight champion he has yet to be officially diagnosed with an injury that severe. He was also capable of pose for photos and take part in the post-fight press conference, versus being rushed to hospital like fellow winner Josh Hokit.<\/p>\n

As of his appearance on Monday\u2019s episode of The Ariel Helwani Show on Uncrowned, Carlos Ulberg has yet to have his leg scanned. He’s aware of concerns that he has suffered a torn ACL, but has yet to receive official confirmation.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was only a freak accident,\u201d he said of the injury. \u201cWhat happened was that I pushed off my leg and essentially it was just my knee that gave out and it caused a little bit of vulnerability within the fight\u2026 We don\u2019t know needless to say.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re just waiting and I\u2019ll get the scans done after I arrive in Vegas this week and we\u2019ll know all the things once that\u2019s all done\u2026 I\u2019ve never done the knee in any respect so I do not know \u2013 it\u2019s just swollen for the time being and it\u2019s hard to rise up so there\u2019s definitely something happening there.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat’s pain, eh? It\u2019s swollen, it takes me some time now to get anywhere so I\u2019m definitely walking like an old fella\u2026 It was only a freak accident, the knee felt prefer it was getting in and out of the socket, it felt like a pain there and I couldn\u2019t bear to place any weight on that leg.<\/p>\n

\u201cAny time I’d push off the proper foot or put any type of weight on that leg and the pain I needed to undergo was unbearable.\u201d<\/p>\n
