As he put it:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cAt times, the show appears like a Mad Libs filled in to maximise puerile imagery above all else, and throughout the creative goals of the brand new episodes, it&#8217;s all the poorer for it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitalspy.com\/tv\/ustv\/a70951652\/euphoria-season-3-review\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Digital Spy\u2019s<\/a> David Opie was also underwhelmed by the third season\u2019s attempt at raising the stakes. He considered the attempts to one-up the already intense storylines of past seasons to be inorganic, even going so far as to say, \u201cCritics have long accused the show of prioritizing controversy for controversy\u2019s sake, but this is likely to be the primary time the accusations ring somewhat true.\u201d Nevertheless, Opie did end his review with the hope that the remaining episodes of the season might recapture the magic the show was once known for.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>This Is Not Sam Levinson\u2019s First Critical Dud<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Euphoria\u2019s third season shouldn&#8217;t be the primary time Sam Levinson\u2019s work has been derided by critics. Most notably, his fame as a prestige showrunner took a large hit after the discharge of 2023\u2019s The Idol.
