Speculation over Andoni Iraola\u2019s future has intensified after it emerged that the Spaniard will leave his position as head coach of Bournemouth at the top of the season.<\/p>\n

Iraola took over the reins at Bournemouth back in June 2023, putting pen to paper on a two-year contract on the Vitality Stadium following Gary O\u2019Neil\u2019s dismissal.<\/p>\n

In that point, the 43-year-old has further established himself as some of the highly regarded young managers in European football together with his work on the south coast.<\/p>\n

Last season, Iraola\u2019s team racked up a club-record total of 56 points within the Premier League while also achieving Bournemouth\u2019s joint-highest finish of ninth.<\/p>\n

Iraola\u2019s current deal is as a result of expire in the summertime and Bournemouth had been pushing for the previous Spain international to agree an extension on his stay.<\/p>\n

But discussions over a proposed renewal ultimately got here to nothing and the Cherries have already begun work behind the scenes to identity possible successors for Iraola, whose side sit eleventh within the Premier League table this season.<\/p>\n

Iraola has naturally turned heads and won himself loads of admirers with the way in which during which he has managed to remodel Bournemouth\u2019s fortunes since picking up the pieces slightly below three years ago.<\/p>\n

In recent months, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool have been linked amid doubts over their managerial situations, with all three clubs enduring mixed seasons within the English top flight.<\/p>\n

The ex-Rayo Vallecano boss has also been tipped as a possible successor to Pep Guardiola should his fellow countryman determine to step down as head coach of Manchester City at the top of the campaign.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, Iraola\u2019s beloved Athletic Bilbao have been priced by Betfair because the 17\/20 favourites to secure a deal for the Spaniard\u2019s services in the summertime.<\/p>\n

Iraola featured in a complete of 510 matches during his playing days with Athletic, sitting sixth within the record books for the most-ever appearances within the club\u2019s history.<\/p>\n

In addition to the clubs mentioned above, Bayer Leverkusen (10\/3), Crystal Palace (11\/2), Real Madrid (9\/1) and Newcastle (22\/1) all find themselves on Betfair\u2019s list of potential destinations for Iraola next season.<\/p>\n

Betfair spokesperson James Mackie explained: \u2018After it was announced that he’ll leave Bournemouth at the top of the season, many fans will likely be wondering where Andoni Iraola\u2019s profession will take him next and Athletic Bilbao have emerged because the early favourites to be his next destination at 17\/20.<\/p>\n

\u2018Bayer Leverkusen follows behind at 10\/3, with Crystal Palace 11\/2 and the shortest price of the potential Premier League clubs. <\/p>\n

\u2018Meanwhile, the favored Cherries boss is 7\/1 to switch Arne Slot at Anfield ahead of the brand new season.<\/p>\n

Iraola will leave behind hefty shoes to fill when he manages Bournemouth for the last time away to Nottingham Forest on the ultimate day of the Premier League season on May 24.<\/p>\n

Betfair have Marco Rose as their current frontrunner (10\/3) to take over the reins heading into the 2026\/27 season, ahead of the likes of Eddie Howe (5\/1), Kieran McKenna (11\/2), Ange Postecoglou (7\/1) and Thomas Frank (17\/2).<\/p>\n

Rose found himself jobless after being sacked by RB Leipzig last month and the 49-year-old German is believed to be targeting a speedy return to top-level management.<\/p>\n
