More could possibly be coming in the shape of a\u00a0<strong>Brandon Aiyuk\u00a0<\/strong>trade or release, though nothing has been finalized on that front.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cdn.profootballrumors.com\/files\/2022\/06\/USATSI_13989691.jpg\"><\/a>With Aiyuk not expected to be back within the fold and\u00a0<strong>Jauan Jennings\u00a0<\/strong>destined to sign elsewhere in free agency, the 49ers will likely be led on the WR spot by\u00a0<strong>Mike Evans\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/K\/KirkCh01.htm\">Christian Kirk<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in 2026. Evans\u2019 pact essentially consists of a one-year commitment by way of guaranteed money, while Kirk\u2019s only covers next season. Taking a wideout in next week\u2019s draft would thus be a feasible approach on the a part of general manager <strong>John Lynch\u00a0<\/strong>and Co.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI don\u2019t find out about early, but we\u2019re definitely within the business of adding good players,\u201d\u00a0<\/em>Lynch said (<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/48476241\/san-francisco-49ers-nfl-draft-visit-receivers-27th-overall-pick\">via ESPN\u2019s Nick Wagoner<\/a>) when asked about adding a rookie receiver.\u00a0<em>\u201cI feel at that position, the way in which these guys [are getting paid], it\u2019s probably healthy business to try so as to add them as much as you may in these drafts.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The 49ers have veteran\u00a0<strong>Demarcus Robinson <\/strong>in place along with Evans and Kirk, but otherwise their WR depth chart is lacking in experience.\u00a0<strong>Ricky Pearsall, Jordan Watkins <\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Jacob Cowing\u00a0<\/strong>are among the many younger players within the fold for San Francisco. Making one other draft investment would add further depth to the combo while allowing for one or each of Evans and Kirk to get replaced in 2027.<\/p>\n<p>The 49ers\u2019 top selection is No. 27. They&#8217;re certainly one of several teams which has hosted\u00a0<strong>Denzel Boston\u00a0<\/strong>on a pre-draft visit, although the Washington product might not be on the board by that time given the pre-draft buzz surrounding him. San Francisco\u2019s other options at this point consist of a second-round pick and 4 within the fourth round.
