Dana White broadcasts the UFC\u2019s return to Philadelphia<\/h2>\n

Dana White announced the date and site for UFC 330 during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show. <\/p>\n

It is going to happen on the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on August 15. <\/p>\n

The UFC CEO didn\u2019t announce any fights, but he\u2019s already inadvertently confirmed who will headline UFC 330. <\/p>\n

Last month, White clarified Islam Makhachev\u2019s return date after MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz claimed his star client would return to the Octagon in July. <\/p>\n

\u201cNot true\u2026\u2026. It\u2019s August,\u201d the MMA mogul wrote on Instagram. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s now only a matter of time before Makhachev is announced because the most important attraction for UFC 330. <\/p>\n

Islam Makhachev\u2019s opponent options <\/h2>\n

Islam Makhachev and his team have been\u00a0campaigning to face 170lb legend Kamaru Usman\u00a0next.<\/p>\n

Kamaru Usman is 1-3 in his past 4 UFC appearances, so it\u2019s unlikely he might be given a title shot. <\/p>\n

Ian Machado Garry\u00a0looks like essentially the most deserving and certain option for Makhachev\u2019s next fight.<\/p>\n

The 17-1 Irishman has bounced back from his lone profession loss against Shavkat Rakhmonov, who continues to be sidelined with a knee injury he suffered during their December 2024 fight, with big wins over Carlos Prates and Belal Muhammad.<\/p>\n

Last but not least, we now have Michael Morales. The 19-0 Ecuadorian knockout artist propelled himself into the welterweight top five by\u00a0stopping Sean Brady\u00a0inside one round at UFC 322 in November.<\/p>\n
