Joe Rogan sees the Netflix \u2018business model\u2019 having sustainable success in MMA<\/h2>\n

The UFC color commentator recently assessed Netflix\u2019s arrival into MMA during an episode of his JRE MMA Show<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n

Guest Din Thomas questioned whether the streaming giant will find a way to remain within the MMA space for a protracted period by often paying top stars like Rousey, Diaz, and Ngannou to fight.<\/p>\n

While he admitted to not being one of the best businessman, Rogan attempted to clarify why he believes Netflix must have what’s required to create a sustainable presence in the game.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s exciting that Netflix is doing it. I like that there\u2019s one other place people can go,\u201d Rogan said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHere\u2019s the thing, it\u2019s Netflix. Netflix has an insane sum of money and so they keep raking it in\u2026 They\u2019ve just gotta give people exciting things to want to observe and so they\u2019ll keep making extra money.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey’ve a very different business model. Obviously, I\u2019m not a businessman,\u201d he continued. \u201cActually, I’m a terrible businessman, but I might imagine you\u2019ll just earn a living by giving people awesome s\u2014 so that they keep tuning in. <\/p>\n

\u201cIn that sense, they\u2019re not gonna lose any money. There\u2019s loads of MMA fans that probably subscribe to Netflix just so that they can watch that fight (Rousey vs Carano).<\/p>\n

\u201cGood for the fighters, (that\u2019s) most vital thing. I hope (it\u2019s sustainable). Again, I’m a terrible businessman, but just give the cash to the fighters? They\u2019re those who fight. Without that, you\u2019ve got nothing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Netflix is already becoming a mainstay in boxing since debuting with Jake Paul\u2019s win over Mike Tyson in November 2024.<\/p>\n

Plenty of other fights have taken place on the platform since, including Canelo Alvarez\u2019s super-fight with Terence Crawford and Tyson Fury\u2019s recent return against Arslanbek Makhmudov.<\/p>\n
