Alex Pereira tells fans they\u2019ll see his body transformation \u2018very soon\u2019 resulting from heavyweight preparations<\/h2>\n

Recent footage and photos of Alex Pereira\u2019s current physique led some fans to suggest that he may lose something by putting on the burden he needs to achieve to compete at heavyweight.<\/p>\n

Jon Jones vacated his light heavyweight belt in 2020 and didn\u2019t return until 2023 when he made the choice to take day without work and prepare his body for the move up a weight class.<\/p>\n

While \u2018Poatan\u2019 is attempting to try this process in lots less time, he\u2019s not concerned about where he\u2019s at straight away despite saying \u201cit\u2019s a bit difficult\u201d when asked about whether his body is getting used to it.<\/p>\n

Pereira\u2019s team explained that they haven\u2019t began their training camp for June 14 yet, but decided to do a pre-camp with a purpose to get his body prepared for heavyweight.<\/p>\n

The Brazilian star joked along with his coach Glover Teixeira that they\u2019d be fearful at this stage if he was fighting at light heavyweight but they don\u2019t have the identical concerns about him getting in shape before the White House card.<\/p>\n

One positive for Pereira is that Ciryl Gane isn\u2019t the largest heavyweight within the division and is unlikely to make use of his size to attempt to grapple his opponent.<\/p>\n
