Police in Georgia are investigating the killing of a pregnant mother-of-two who was found shot to death in her vehicle on an Atlanta highway during rush hour.<\/p>\n

Atlanta cops were called a few person possibly shot on Interstate 75 on Tuesday, April 14, at roughly 6:15 p.m.<\/p>\n

Investigators got here upon the white BMW SUV on the shoulder of the northbound side of the highway, not removed from Hartsfield\u2013Jackson Atlanta International Airport \u2014 its right turn signal still flashing.<\/p>\n

It was obvious, police said, that the feminine driver \u2014 Bianca Huntley<\/strong> \u2014 was the victim of \u201can apparent gunshot wound.\u201d<\/p>\n

Huntley, 34, was shot while on her drive home. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition, and died, despite doctors\u2019 best efforts.<\/p>\n

The \u201cpreliminary investigation indicates the victim can have sustained her injuries at a separate and currently unknown location,\u201d the department said in a news release<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Fulton County Medical Examiner determined that Huntley died from a \u201cgunshot wound involving the left arm and torso.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her mother, Gloria Allen<\/strong>, told 11 Alive<\/a> that the slain woman was \u201ca shining light that got snuffed out.<\/p>\n

She said that Huntley \u2014 originally from Greensboro, North Carolina \u2014 moved to Atlanta nine years ago for her job at courier and logistics company, DHL. She was also recently promoted as a top quality manager, the grieving grandmother explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe had just gotten a promotion,\u201d Allen enthused to the station. \u201cShe was within the means of hiring a team when her life was tragically ended.\u201d<\/p>\n

Allen, she added, had two daughters, aged 14 and 5. Allen didn’t reveal the gender of the newborn Huntley was carrying.<\/p>\n

Huntley was also pleased with becoming a house owner by the point she turned 30, Allen said.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy herself, OK, raising two daughters, due to her exertions and dedication \u2014 no person did it for her, she did it,\u201d Allen said.<\/p>\n

She also said that she believes this was no easy case of road rage \u2014 but that somebody specifically targeted her daughter.<\/p>\n
