One person has died and one other is fighting for his or her life after a automotive swerved in Comic Con fans in Melbourne. <\/p>\n

Fans standing outside the Supanova Comic Con at Melbourne Showgrounds were hit by a gray Toyota after it mounted the pavement at 5pm.<\/p>\n

Two pedestrians were hit, with one declared dead on the scene and the opposite suffering life-threatening injuries. <\/p>\n

A witness, Tom, told The Age<\/a>: \u2018I heard a screech and a man (allegedly) mounted the kerb at an erratic speed, hit a pair people.\u2019<\/p>\n

The automotive reportedly did a U-turn and drove back down the road, stalled and a bunch of witnesses tried to apprehend them. <\/p>\n

Tom said: \u2018He was erratic. \u2018I said, \u201cyou\u2019re not going anywhere mate\u201d.\u2019<\/p>\n

Tom\u2019s wife is a paramedic who worked on considered one of the victims for 20 minutes before ambulances arrived. <\/p>\n

Melbourne Police said: \u2018Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a fatal collision in Ascot Vale this afternoon.<\/p>\n
