Liam Rosenior said Estevao was \u2018devastated\u2019 after his hamstring injury (Chelsea)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Liam Rosenior has revealed that Estevao was in tears at half time after suffering a hamstring injury during Chelsea\u2019s 1-0 defeat to Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n

Estevao pulled up in the primary half of the match and required immediate attention from Chelsea\u2019s physios before he was replaced by Alejandro Garnacho.<\/p>\n

The Brazil international has already missed six games this season attributable to a hamstring issue and the 18-year-old could now face one other spell on the sidelines.<\/p>\n

\u2018He was devastated, he was crying at half-time,\u2019 Rosenior said after Chelsea\u2019s defeat.<\/p>\n

\u2018Really devastated for him, it looks prefer it\u2019s his hamstring. And that\u2019s a moment actually when he\u2019s running through on goal he pulls his hamstring in that moment.<\/p>\n

\u2018They\u2019re good lads, I even have to say. They\u2019re honest, they\u2019re working hard, I don\u2019t want them to feel like the whole lot\u2019s against them and I hope Este comes back sooner slightly than later.<\/p>\n

On Enzo Fernandez\u2019s injury within the second half, Rosenior said: \u2018I feel it was his calf.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019m hoping it was cramp, we’d like him for Tuesday.\u2019<\/p>\n

Rosenior also explained the choice not to offer Fernandez the captaincy in Reece James\u2019 absence.<\/p>\n

\u2018The choice is we’ve got a leadership group. I feel like wearing the armband is an honour for this club,\u2019 Rosenior said.<\/p>\n

\u2018Enzo played like a captain today. I believed he was magnificent, he ran himself into the bottom, he gave the whole lot, he played forward, he was unlucky not to attain on a few occasions.<\/p>\n

\u2018I feel that shows actually where he\u2019s been with us all this while. I\u2019m very, very pleased along with his performance, I\u2019m very, very pleased with him, despite the fact that tonight we didn\u2019t get the result I felt we deserved or needed.\u2019<\/p>\n
