The Oscar winner stars within the series as an investigator who goes undercover on the dark web to try to search out hate groups and stop domestic terrorism. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cBefore it was like, \u2018I don\u2019t know if we\u2019re going to see it,\u2019 but now I can say, \u2018We\u2019re going to see it,\u201d Chastain told me exclusively on Saturday on the Breakthrough Prize ceremony in Santa Monica.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAs for when, sources tell me that Apple is planning for a July release. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">EXCLUSIVE: Jessica Chastain tells me that Apple TV will finally release her political thriller series &#8220;The Savant&#8221; after it was postponed in September following the assassination of Charlie Kirk. Sources now tell it is going to likely premiere in July.<br \/>I spoke with Jessica at tonight&#8217;s\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/dJYbWaU3iD\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">pic.twitter.com\/dJYbWaU3iD<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Marc Malkin (@marcmalkin) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/marcmalkin\/status\/2045699289452785779?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">April 19, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tWhen Apple TV announced the postponement on Sept. 23, it said in an announcement, \u201cAfter careful consideration, we&#8217;ve got made the choice to postpone\u00a0\u2018The Savant.\u2019 We appreciate your understanding and look ahead to releasing the series at a future date.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tA day later, Chastain, who also serves as an executive producer on \u201cThe Savant,\u201d said in her own statement posted on Instagram that she disagreed with Apple\u2019s decision. \u201cI\u2019ve never shied away from difficult subjects, and while I wish this show wasn\u2019t so relevant, unfortunately it&#8217;s,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DO_V2EyEZmj\/\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">she wrote, partially<\/a>. \u201c\u2018The Savant\u2019 is concerning the heroes who work daily to stop violence before it happens, and honoring their courage feels more urgent than ever. While I respect Apple\u2019s decision to pause the discharge for now, I remain hopeful the show will reach audiences soon.
