In an interesting turn of events, Bollywood Hungama<\/strong> has exclusively learnt that Pen Marudhar has acquired the all India distribution rights of King<\/em> for a hefty sum of Rs. 250 crores. This marks one among the most important theatrical deals of the 12 months, and why not, it features the most important superstar of India – Shah Rukh Khan in lead. “Pen Marudhar have acquired the theatrical distribution rights of King<\/em> for a sum of Rs. 250 crores. The distributor has a protracted standing association with Shah Rukh Khan’s banner, having released movies like Jawan<\/em>, Dunki<\/em>, Zero<\/em>, Badla<\/em>, Ittefaq<\/em> and lots of more,” a trade source shared with Bollywood Hungama<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

King<\/em> is seeing a release within the crowded Christmas 2026 window amogst the Hollywood biggies – Avengers: Doomsday<\/em>, Dune 3<\/em> and Jumanji<\/em>. “Shah Rukh Khan was searching for a robust distribution partner to navigate the competitive window, and he’s a large theatrical release within the month of December all across the country.”<\/p>\n

The dimensions of the KING<\/em> deal reflects each renewed confidence within the theatrical ecosystem and Shah Rukh Khan\u2019s sustained box office pull post his blockbuster resurgence. The domestic rights of KING<\/em> saw aggressive bidding from multiple top-tier players, including A.A. Movies, Jio Studios (Distribution), PVR INOX Pictures, Yash Raj Movies (Distribution), and Dharma Productions (Distribution).<\/p>\n
